R.I.P. Dustin

I haven't blogged for a while, because I have had a lot on my mind, this is only the beginning, but this has made me realize how much I take for granted (along with everyone else). This blog is dedicated to the memory of Dustin Bailey, someone that I didn't know very well at all. My 7 year old niece Kya Luna Bailey lost her father (Dustin Bailey) unexpectedly. He fell into a coma on Christmas eve and passed away December 27th. This is devastating since Kya's mother Annie (my husband's older sister) passed away unexpectedly November 27th, 2007. Just days after a beautiful Thanksgiving she had spent with her daughter and family. This courageous little girl now has to face her life without either of her parents. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Love you Kya. I hope that I can be part of your life, and I am going to be the best aunt I can be.

oh my goodness, this is heartbreaking! I can't even begin to imagine how devastating this must be for her, and to experience all this at such a young age..soo sad!

I need to get in touch with you. My name is Melissa Allison. I used to live in Beaverton Oregon. I need to know what happened. I used to be best friends with Annie. I knew Dustin very well also. My husband Jason and I worked with Annie at DirecTV. On Kya's first birthday they asked us to be her Godparents in case anything ever happened to them. I can't believe I just read this. It was completely random that I googled Kya's name and just saw your blog...I was thinking of her. We lost contact with them suddenly and tried everything to find them but could not. I had a bad feeling about this for a long time. Please email me at

myendeavor@yahoo.com

and I will send you my phone and address also.

I hope Kya is okay. When did all of this happen???

Thank You. I'm so sorry for your losses.
